Leyprint is a commercial printing company who occupy an industrial
premises which dates from around the turn of the last century.
Over the years the building has seen many changes in process and tenant,
with seemingly the only unchanged aspect being the electrical supply!
In 2002 the services of DTJ Electrical Ltd where requested to assess
the electrical supply and lighting to the whole of the 110,000 sq
ft factory premises, with a costing and schedule provided to upgrade
the electrical aspects to satisfy the conditions of the clients insurers.
This assessment revealed the necessity for extensive and in some cases
urgent electrical modifications to the building with the work undertaken
in stages to enable the factory to remain operational to as near to
its maximum output as possible.
Below is the scope of works undertaken:
· Design and Planning of mains supply for effective distribution
via single and three phase circuits.
· 80% rewire of premises.
· Relocation of mains supply to new section boards.
· Rewiring of large machinery.
· Rewire of lightning circuits with removal, re-fit and re-use
of existing light fittings.
· Rewire to provide individual premises within factory are
for rental purposes inclusive of individual section boards
and meters.
This work was complete over the period of 12 months to the complete
satisfaction of the client.
